The message of Constructivism was that art was created for social purposes. These works reflected the political commitment as well as the revolutionary times. The works represented the hopes and ideas of many Russian artists who supported the revolution.

While Rodchenko made art that had a message for the people, Shepard Fairey's works make statements on social issues that are important to him.
